Meet “Yoda”, the four and a half feet tall bottle collector. As she is not able to confirm her own age, I reckon she’s in her late 70s or early 80s. This little trooper walks around town all day in 35-degree heat and carries a very large sack on her head that triples her size, to hoard plastic and glass bottles to sell so she can earn enough money to suffice her daily spending.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be working on a street photography project “100 faces” which entails photographing strangers’ portraits while sharing a bit about their stories. Not only will this heighten my inspiration and creativity while improving my photographic and writing skill set, but it’s also a great chance to connect with interesting human beings we come across each day. I’m very much looking forward to this, so keep an eye on this page!
